VAASTU SHASTRA

वास्तु शास्त्र
What is Vaastushastra?
Vaastushastra is an ancient Vedic Science which helps one to get the natural benefits freely offered by five basic elements of Universe. It can be applied by keeping in harmony with these basic five elements of nature namely Fire (Agni), Earth (Bhoomi), Air (Vaayu), Water (Jal), Sky (Aakash). Vaastushastra contains the study of Astrology, Astronomy, Geography, Metrology and many such Vedic Sciences. Application of Vaastushastra vary from place to place due to latitude or sun , distribution of land and water , pressure belts of wind , altitudes , mountain barriers ,ocean waves , storms of various kind etc.

Our sages and seers knew the secrets of using all the five elements of Universe and their special characteristics and influences such as magnetic field, gravitational force, metrology and also all planetary forces of earth, the galaxy in the sky, the directions and velocity of the winds, light and heat of Sun. It included the effects of the ultraviolet and infrared rays of the sun, the volume and intensity of rainfall etc. This worked for the advantage of the mankind in suitably planning and constructing buildings for dwelling, prayer, education, entertainment, working, production and other purposes. They evolved scientific methods and systems over the years as Vaastushastra. Our sages searched it, we are only researching it.

Man is the subject, object and the cause of architecture. He perceives and conceives architecture in relation to his experience of himself with the surrounding world. The earth itself was the part of Sun, which was formed around 460 million years ago. In due course of time, the rocks melted and the surface has formed an acquired magnetism due to magnetic particles embedded within. It has two poles and three phases in its interior- the crust, mantle and core. The earth's surface includes the oceans, the atmosphere, the upper part of the earth's crust and the biosphere. (Aryabhatta propounded the theory of Heliocentric Universe a century before Copernicus and Bhaskaracharya mentioned about the gravity of earth, 1200 years before Newton.)
The Meaning of Vaastu
The word ‘Vaastu’ has been derived from the word ‘Vastu’ meaning house or plot on which the house has to be built. The science pertaining to Vaastu is called Vaastushastra.
Vaastushastra is not a modern science but its importance has been recognised since ancient times.

It is an ancient Indian science of architecture and buildings which helps in making a congenial setting or a place to live and work in a most scientific way taking advantage of the benefits bestowed by nature, its elements and energy fields for enhanced wealth, health, prosperity and happiness.

Be it home or office, factory or commercial block, Vaastushastra is known to reward the follower the benefits and protection from ill-effects in life be it economical, emotional or spiritual. Like any other Science, Vaastu is considered rational (based on cause and effect), practical normative (codified and governed beg principle), utilitarian and universal.

ज्योतिष Astrology

ज्योतिष ( वैदिक Astrology )
WHAT IS VEDIC ASTROLOGY :-
Astrology is the study of the relationship between the stars and planets and our lives on earth. Vedic Astrology involves the interpretation of the horoscope or birth chart and it is essentially based on the idea of cycles and patterns in life which correspond on the cycles of the planets. Through the analysis of these cycles in the past and present it is possible to interpret the possible future.

ASTROLOGY AS AN OCCULT SCIENCE
Astrology is a noble science which is as old as the ages of the Vedas. It depends on the position of the planets ascertained astronomically. It explain the celestial phenomenon and the corresponding terrestrial events. The true meaning of astrology is the “Message of Stars”. By using salient principles of Astrology depending on the position of the planets ascertained astronomically one can forecast events for the benefit of all and as such it is a useful science for interpreting nature as it explains the cause and effects of events.

ASTROLOGY AND KARMA
Karma is the sum total of one’s physical, mental and spiritual efforts and in fact they manufacture destiny. Astrology is based on the relationship of cause and effects. If there is an effect, there must be a cause preceding it. If an event good or bad happens today then there must be a cause for it. Certain karmas produce immediate results wherein others fructify after a long time period and this concept of law of cause and effect takes one to the belief in birth and re-birth. Karmas done in one birth must manifest some time in a later birth.An Astrologer can point out which of the karmas from the past can be overcome and those, which can not be overcome and therefore have to be suffered.

HOW ASTROLOGY WORKS
The astrologer’s main tool is the birth chart. This is the map of heavens drawn up for the time, place and date of birth of the individual to whom it will refer. It shows the positions of all the planets in the signs of zodiac at the time of birth.The skill of the astrologer is to interpret the birth chart, which is said to set the pattern for the growth of the person throughout their life. In other words, what will happen is described by the positions of the planets and the signs of the zodiac at birth. Astrology is based on a system of ‘correspondences’ which means that each planet will correspond with different ways of behaving resulting in different personality patterns.
THE HOROSCOPE OR THE BIRTH CHART:-
Birth chart is a map of heavens showing the signs of zodiac and the planets as seen from one’s place of birth and this is the reason why astrologers needs your time, date and place of birth to draw up an accurate chart. The main constituent of the birth chart are- the ascendant, the signs of zodiac, the houses, the planets, the aspects. The ascendant is the rising sign at the time of birth at the eastern horizon and it is also called the lagna.The signs of the zodiac represent twelve personality types, influencing the planets that are placed in them.The astrological houses, of which there are also twelve, represent twelve different areas of life.The planets, the sun and the moon, represent different parts of an individual’s personality.The aspects show the relationships between planetary energies and how these planets will affect you.
SIGNS OF THE ZODIAC
There are twelve signs of the zodiac and each zodiac represents a personality type which have been described in detail in the chapter ‘your personality’. POWERFUL REMEDY FOR ALL ADVERSE EFFECTS

MAHA MRITYUNJAYA MANTRA

II Om Trayambakam Yajamaha, Sugandhim Pushtivardhnam,Urvaraka Miva Bandhanat, Mrityor Muksheeya Mamritat II

Meaning:
I bow down to three-Eyed Lord Siva, Who is full of sweet fragrance,Who nourishes well beings; May He free me from the bondage,Of Samsara and Death, Just as the ripe cucumber is severed,From the bondage to the Creeper! May I be fixed in Immortality!
Tryambakam : Tryambakam is Lord Siva. We devoutly utter, "Trayambakam" with the Bhavas, that Siva is the Lord of three Mothers of the Universe; That he is the Three eyed Lord; and beg for his grace to attain immortality.In Vedic Paribhasha, the three mothers are Gayatri Chandas (Gnyana Sakti); Tristup Chandas (Icha Sakti); Jagat Chandas (Kriya Sakti);
Sugandhim: "Gandha", is smell or odour; it is sugar or vishama Gandha. 'Sugandha'-is fragrance that bestows Pusthi or growth or development on other things, and protects them from vikara;
Pushtivardhanam: Pushtivardhanam, is Lord Siva, who nourished well all beings, who bestows growth and development who develops small things from smaller to larger avastas, of diverse and numberless sizes, and to him we offer our prayers for immortality while we utter 'Pushtivardhanam'.Yajamaha: "Yajamaha" indicates, the Union through the combination of the Three Saktis with Lord Siva who is Amara, and thereby enemy to Death, who is Prakash, thereby enemy to Darkness, who is staanu, and thereby enemy to Astirtva; who is supreme source of Amrita, Prakash, an Sthira Bhavas. Hence, we surrender ourselves completely to Lord Siva; and through surrender live in contact with and related to Him while we chant "Yajamaha"
Mrityor Bandhanat Urvaraka Miva Muksheeya: We thirst to be liberated from countless kinds of diseases; from Agnyana, from numerous diverse forms and durations of births and deaths; and to conquer Death.The attainment of Mukti or freedom from the wheel of births and deaths is the Aim and Goal of the Aspirant who chants this Mantra; so he prays to Lord Siva to liberate him from Death for the sake of immortality, even as the cucumber is freed without effort, from its bondage to the creeper.
Mamritat Muksheeya:Relationship is established by the aspirant with Brahman, who is Amara, Prakasa, Nitya, Ekaakaara; Thereby, the Aspirant also becomes Amara Prakasa and enjoys Avichanna relationship with Brahman (Lord Siva) who is Amara; Prakasa, Susthira Swaroopa. Thus, through fervent constant Japa of this Mantra, the Aspirant attains the Stairya of the Sanatana Relationship between the Jeeva and Paramatma and Atmashema.
IMMUNIZEDThe regular recitation of this Mantra cures the present disease, prevents the new diseases and purifies the entire atmosphere at home. It is said that in a house where this 'Mantra is regularly recited daily for 216 times early in the morning after bath no one dies accidently or prematurely in the family.This Mantra is to be recited rarly in the morning after bath 216 times. Some sweet/fruit and water must be kept before you. Jyoti with pure ghee should also be lighted. After the prayers the sweet/fruit should be taken by all the members of the family. The regular recitation of this Mantra for sometime will ultimately take only twelve minutes a day and keep all the disease away from you. There is no doubt about it.
